That green one looks stunning.

When are the S3X hubs coming? :o)
…and the disc forks… ;oP
Comment by Myles — November 13, 2009 @ 10:16 pm
s3x hubs are on hold - we are concerned about longevity and how they hold up , so no plans to sell them yet as theres a few murmurings of bad quality on t internet
Comment by dave — November 14, 2009 @ 12:46 am
Ah, OK :o(
I’ll just get on with speccing up a conventional one as a winter alternative to my Planet-X Stealth CF road fixie that I can’t stop in the rain… (ceramic rims - hate’em in the wet)

How much would a Green Alfine cost?
Comment by Stephen — November 19, 2009 @ 7:28 pm
That’s where we are going with the Disc Pompino… Alfines will not fit the current Pompino. Stay tuned for this one…

I’ve only just got round to building up my alfine pompino, from the buy an alfine hub - get frame/forks free a while back. Can’t wait to get it on the road. 135mm spaced frame though for the alfine.
Comment by Gary — November 21, 2009 @ 5:11 pm
Sign me up for a pomp with 135mm spacing and disc mounts, can we also have a steel pomp fork with disc mount as well as it would look loads better than the MTB style carbon forks.
Comment by Mark — November 21, 2009 @ 10:35 pm
Why not do a nuetral colour (black) 700c carbon disk fork that would go on Uncle John as well as a Pompino? Out of interest, would an On-One 29er carbon fork fit an Uncle John?

My chocolate brown Pomp arrived yesterday. Deep, glossy, metallic choccy brown goodness. Cant wait to build it up.

Completed my green Pompino a couple of weeks back. Similar to the green one shown albeit with orange Grunge saddle and Easton Fork. Highly recommended!

I have now been using my new special custom build drop bar Pompino on fixed for the last couple of weeks, top bike, certainly keeps you honest with your pedalling. Been using for daily 20 mile commute & longer weekend rides, not ventured out on club ride as yet as I want to feel confident with the fixed set up before I try that.
The bike looks fab, in deep chocolate brown with gold hubs & gold frogs bollox canti’s, I’ve also added gold bottle cages, rekon I should name the bike P Diddy :-).
Thanks to Dave for all the advise & for kitting me out with a top spec & at a great price.
I’ll get some pic’s to you as soon as I can.
